Annoucing the Winners of the First Monetary Prize "Opportunities for integrating methane decomposition with other processes"
It is our pleasure to announce the three winners of the 112CO2#challenge1 within the framework of project 112CO2 - Low temperature catalytic methane decomposition for COx-free hydrogen production.

112CO2, Grant Agreement no. 952219, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme and coordinated by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. The Piresident of the tender’s board was Professor Doctor Ulrich Stimming and as effective members were Doctor Gonzalo Prieto and Doctor Noriko Sata.

The first place was awarded to João dos Santos from the IN+, Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, with the proposal entitled "Methane Pyrolysis as a Technology to Support the Decarbonization of the Cement Industry".

The second place was awarded to Telmo Lopes and Tiago Araújo from Carbopora, with a proposal entitled "Carbo4H2sieve – Enabling the Energy Transition".

The third place was awarded to Prof. Simone Meloni and Ribhu Bhatia from the Università degli Studi di Ferrara, with a proposal entitled "PROCEED - Upstream Integration of 112CO2 With Green Methane Production".
